In Spite of Madness was formed by mutual associations, and an underlying current of distrust. After a few tumbling line up changes, it arrived at its current format that distills the heart of late 90s post-grunge anthems, carried by oaky female vocals and ricocheting between themes of sapphic ardor and anxiety. The band comprises of Lydia Low on vocals, Chris Knox on guitar, Ben Riley on bass, and Bree Hill on drums.
Hedonism, their debut album, was recorded with Reeltime Audio and was released in the Fall of 2016. Since then they have performed at DIY festival Band Together, and Denton's Thin Line Fest. In Spite of Madness is currently working on their new single, Theo, set to release in Fall, 2018.
